Hey guys,
Hubby saw a pic of Lowracers/Mark's temp knob. His knob is so much prettier than our knob!! We have the plane white with black #'s.
Question-- what parts are interchangable with the different models; i.e. panels, knobs, drip pans, etc...????
I think this would be a good reference question for those who come across a old Chambers and want to use the parts, but have a different model.
Also, we have learned from experience not only to take pics, but write reference notes in our service manual!! Down the road we tend to forget some things.
Calibrating the stove was so easy!!

If I remember correctly, I don't think the regulators are the same so I don't think the knobs are interchangeable (but Stoveman probably has the more correct answer here.)
Berlyn, isn't your temp knob the Model B type that has the red in the center of it? Or is it different than I'm used to seeing on the B? If yours doesn't have the red center, send me a pic, ok?
Here's what I've found to NOT be interchangeable:
1. Burners for the broiler-boxes. The C's and BZ had a burner shield, and a smaller burner. And you can't just swap the burner into a broiler-box unless it's the same burner since they're a slightly different design.
2. The griddle handles (the big one, to the left of the griddle.) The Model B one fits on the C, but it won't stay screwed on properly and won't lift the griddle.
3. The griddles are a little different too. I can't describe it exactly, but the stovetop where the griddle sits is a little different between the B's and C's, so therefore the griddle rests on it a little differently. Although they'll work, they don't rest perfectly against the stove unless it's made for that stovetop.
4. The broiler pan (that you cook on) is different between the models and must be made for your broiler-box or it won't rest on the broiler-lift bars properly.
5. The knobs and thumblatches are different between the A's, B's and C's. The C's had the "claw" and flat/round thumblatches. The B's had slightly thinner gas knobs.
6. Even the side/front porcelain panels were a little different between models. Even the early B's and later B's weren't the same - the early B's had a shorter panel.
7. The grates are not interchangeable between models. Also, there were several different styles for the C's. The Model BZ had a different grate than the Model B too.
8. Drip pans are not interchangeable due to the way the stovetop was notched.
There's more too, but that's what comes immediately to mind.
